Encompass attends 2024 Slope Stability Conference
Last week, our team had the incredible opportunity to attend the Slope Stability 2024 conference hosted in Belo Horizonte, Brazil!
Mark Sjoberg, our Principal Geotechnical Engineer, and Glen Guy, our Director and Principal Mining Consultant, represented us at this prestigious event. With over 500 attendees, the conference showcased technical papers, keynote presentations, and trade exhibitions over four insightful days.
Glen presented our recent work comparing observational and 3D analytical results to an engaged audience from around the world. It was a fantastic platform to share our findings and exchange knowledge with industry peers. Beyond the conference, we immersed ourselves in Brazilian culture, cheering alongside 40,000 vocal fans at a soccer match and experiencing the vibrant nightlife at a live music venue.
A big thank you to the organisers for hosting a well-run event in such a beautiful location. We returned home inspired and enriched by this memorable experience!
