Earlier this month, one of our team members, Anthony Eremenco, attended the Life of Mine Conference in Brisbane on behalf of Encompass Mining.
This is a premier event on the AusIMM Calendar that includes a holistic view of all aspects of the mining cycle and is a fantastic opportunity for industry leaders & researchers to share leading practice techniques to the wider industry.
This year’s Conference had a strong focus on decarbonisation, critical minerals extraction & mine closure planning:
- Decarbonisation – How companies have diverged their research on finding the best method to decarbonise. Emission tracking being introduced in mine planning & how that has changed mining strategies.
- Critical Minerals Extraction – Forecasts on increased mining requirements to meet demand of the new renewables market
